Sasha is a young queen bee already. Even growing up unaware that she had a special magical talent, she knew she was special in some way. On a personal level, she didn’t really care about these girls, but socially, she felt they made her look better. Sasha was born to over-indulgent parents who had almost given up on having a child of their own. They called her their little miracle and gave her anything she wanted from the moment she was born. She grew to expect that people would dote on her and going to school as a young child was a major disappointment for her. She did find a few followers though, and she kept them until she got tired of them. At that point, she’d drop the group and build another one. She’d never really been taught compassion so she never thought of others’ feelings.
Not only was she spoiled by her parents, but she was spoiled rotten by both sets of grandparents as well. In their eyes, she could do no wrong. On the rare occasions her parents tried to discipline her, her grandparents would step in and protect her. She learned to make sure to play the good little girl around authority figures such as her parents, grandparents, and most of her teachers. There were a couple of teachers she disliked and went out of her way to antagonize. She just did it in such a way that they couldn’t say she was doing anything wrong.
From the time she was small, Sasha knew there was something special about her. She didn’t know what it was, but she knew there was something. Any kind of accidental magic she’d performed had been easily explained away, so there were no real clues. That changed the day she was brought a letter, invited to study t an exclusive boarding school to learn magic. She said yes immediately and whined and carried on until her parents agreed as well. Magic was definitely something she could get into that would help her get whatever she wanted. She just didn’t like waiting so long. She was eleven. The rules said she had to be eleven. She didn’t understand why she had to wait until the next school year, but she had to, no matter how many tantrums she threw.
Her first year was everything she wanted and everything she feared. Being a firstie, she was on the bottom of the totem pole. To make it worse, she was sorted into Slytherin. She was bullied by some in her house for being a muggleborn. She was bullied by some outside of her house for being a Slytherin. She did manage to make one friend and a few acquaintances, but that was about it. Out of self-preservation, she did her best to start a rumor about being adopted and kind of implied that she was a pureblood. She’s not sure how well it has worked.
Summer was the best. She loved being back at the top of her clique. Going to a special boarding school had only cemented her place.
School was harder to get back into. For one thing, outside of a couple of people, she was lonely. On the one hand, she had matured and learned that she sometimes liked her own company. On the other, she had no one to rule. It was a curious thing. At least she kept her grades up, actually doing the work herself. The best part was that she already had one OWL, thanks to the muggle studies requirement.
