Brandon StewartFull Name:
Brandon Arthur StewartBlood Status:
BritishPlace of Birth:
London, EnglandDate of Birth:
January 1, 2030Age:
English, FrenchRelationship Status:
Brandon is a tall, good looking fellow with an easy smile and a cheerful sparkle in his eyes. His hair is dark brown, just beginning to go grey, and he keeps it neat, though not as short as he used to. He also makes an effort to keep himself fit – though as he ages, that is beginning to become just a bit more difficult. Dressing Style:
While he’ll wear ceremonial robes if there aren’t any other options, Brandon does everything he can to stick to muggle clothes. He wears suites to most of the events that he has to go to that requires formal dress, but is a much bigger fan of more laid back clothing – mostly jeans and button shirts – and that is what he wears most of the time.PersonalityCharacter Description:
To all but his inner circle, Brandon Stewart comes off as a good-natured, well-mannered, fatherly type. He is kind and forgiving, and makes a point to remember names and faces. Behind closed doors, he is calculating and ambitious. It is his goal and desire to see the last vestiges of pureblood power and prestige swept away and to see the magical world exposed and brought together with – as he sees it – the real world.Quirks:
In his youth, Brandon used to smoke and still carries a pack of cigarettes around with him everywhere – despite the fact that he gave up the habit years ago. Strengths:
Brandon Stewart is a marvelous politician; charismatic and friendly, while being cunning and ambitious. He has a vision for where he wants things to go and is reasonably good at getting people to dance along to his tune. Weaknesses:
The biggest weakness that Brandon deals with is that he holds grudges past all reason. Even when it would be better to let things go, he will do what he can to make the people who stand against him pay for it. Even worse, once he’s defeated them, he has real issues moving on and can sometimes delight in cruelly rubbing their face in it. Likes:
Brandon, having grown up among muggles, enjoys all things non-magical. This is not to say that he doesn’t enjoy and appreciate magic as well but, given the option, he would go the non-magical route.Dislikes:
Purebloods. There’s nothing he hates as much as the inherited wealth and privilege of the Purebloods and longs for a world where their taint has been long forgotten.Boggart:
His own death.Patronus:
A lynxPatronus Memory:
Various memories spent with family and friends.MagicWand:
13” Oak and Chimaera ScaleStrength:
Brandon has no particular strength in any field of magic, though he enjoys Charms the most. Weakness:
Much the same, he doesn’t lag behind in any particular field, though he loathes Divination. Even when it’s real, and truly manifesting, he doesn’t put any stock in it – preferring to trust in his own ability to carve his own destiny.EducationSchool:

Brandon Stewart was born into the Muggle World to a pair of doting and well to do parents. While not particularly rich, as most would view it, they never wanted for any of the essentials of life and they were always there for each other. Unfortunately, Brandon always tended to stick out due to the odd occurrences that followed him around and the rumors and bullying that accompanied them. It got worse and worse as he got older; fortunately, before it came to a head, he was introduced to the magical world and informed of the existence of Hogwarts.
The excitement grew as the date of his departure for school approached and it felt like everything was falling into place. He’d finally be with people who understood what he was going through; his parents had been kind, loving, and supportive but they didn’t get it. All went as he’d hoped until the Sorting Hat was put on his head and he was sorted into Slytherin. There, he received a crash course on the culture and politics of the Wizarding World. Even if the power and influence of the Purebloods had waned, there was still more than enough power behind them to make Brandon’s life miserable while he was there.
As a muggle-born in Slytherin, he worked harder than he’d ever thought he’d need to and his grades were among the best in the school. Despite being passed over for the Prefect Position, he was tapped to be Head Boy in his final year at school. He left Hogwarts with a superb education and a deep-seated resentment of Purebloods.
He went from Hogwarts into the University where he took up the study of Law – most particularly magical law as it related to muggles and non-wizard beings. The obvious loopholes and biases toward wizards and purebloods just fed his distaste and he knew that it was long past time that someone finally took the steps necessary to get rid of the bigoted stain they left on society. As soon as he graduated from the University, he took a position in the Goblin Liaison Office at the Ministry where he slowly learned how the levers of power moved, and made several allies among the Goblins of Gringotts.
Finally, a position opened in the Muggle Liaison office and Brandon happily moved into his new position – using his new position to make friends and allies among the more muggle friendly members of the Wizengamot and Ministry. Over the time, he developed a close friendship with Clara Wentworth, a rising star in the Ministry, and when she won her seat as Minister, he was promoted to Head of the Muggle Liaison Office. He took pride in his work with her and Headmaster David Norwood to begin reforming the curriculum at Hogwarts. All continued on until the scandals began breaking and Clara found herself out on her ear.
It took a bit of work, but Brandon managed to turn his reputation for fairness and almost meekness – after all, just how forceful could someone be that had spent their entire career mucking about with muggles and goblins – into being the front runner to take over for his friend. With the support of Headmaster Norwood and a handful of influential members of the WIzengamot, he succeeded at his ascension and took up the reins of the Ministry.
