Abby was born the third and last child of the family. She had a normal upbringing to most. Her older sister and brother were very protective of her, but she never minded that. What she did mind was that first Haley, then Christeean went off to boarding school and left her behind. Sure, she loved her parents, but they weren’t exactly going to play with her, now were they? For a while, she had become quite pouty. She lived for holidays and summers when her sister and brother were home. They played games with her.
What wasn’t normal was speaking two languages as soon as she started talking. She’d grown up bilingual. Since her family lived in Russia until she was about nine, and they spoke English as well as Russian at home, it was understandable. Even though she does have a set of French grandparents and lived in France for the previous year, she wasn’t too interested in learning French on top of Russian and English.
Once her father got a job at the British Ministry, the family packed up and moved once more. Abby was so excited to finally get a letter to attend school, though she wasn’t sure how to feel about being the only one to start out at Hogwarts. Both her sibling had attended two other schools, and she was a bit jealous that they got to experience more. She wouldn’t let that bother her though. She could take pride in being the only one to fully experience Hogwarts.
She can’t wait to start school and make all kinds of friends. And she did have to admit that there was a comfort in the fact that her sister and brother will be new at school and will have to start over making friends as well. At least she won’t be not alone there.
