Mid-morning owls were not something that arrived at the Caer very often and Tim was more than a bit surprised to see this one arrive. As he looked at it curiously, he immediately recognized that it didn’t belong to anyone he knew, so he waited till it hopped closer and held out its leg so that he could retrieve the message. The contents of the message were even more surprising than its arrival. As the bird flew off again, Tim wrote out a quick note to his grandfather, just in case he was a lot later getting home than seemed likely.
Moments later, he stepped out of the floo in the Three Broomsticks and brushed himself off. There weren’t too many people in the place yet, so he smiled at Keenan, behind the bar, and simply asked, “Maz?”
The man pointed toward the door and got back to work, so Tim turned and exited the building. From there, the search didn’t take nearly as long as he was afraid it might. He found her sitting at one of the tables that had been set up outside. It was a nice day, and Tim couldn’t blame her. However, a frown crossed his face briefly at the black eye she was sporting and the barely healed cut above her brow, though it was gone before he approached.
“So,” he asked as he crossed to where she was sitting and claimed a chair beside her, “did that happen before you left or after?”Maz Cowan

There was a bounce in Tim’s step as he made his way out of his meeting with the Dean. It wasn’t as if there had been any doubt in his mind about his acceptance to the school, but there were always formalities to be followed in this sort of thing. As he’d promised Maz – on his next available Hogsmeade weekend, after he was ambulatory again, he’d gone to see the man and get his name added to the rolls for the next semester. He still had plenty of time before he had to head back to the castle, or even back to the village really, so he figured he’d take a walk around the facility and at least start getting a feel for it.
At first glance, the entire campus didn’t really seem like it belonged where it had been placed. Hogsmeade sat visibly just a short distance away. The village was still the only all-wizard location in the entirety of Great Britain and the castle that was Hogwarts rose in the distance beyond it. Hogwarts University looked like someone had simply picked up a muggle college and dumped it in the middle of the magical world and figured that was good enough.
The concrete walkways were lined with brick buildings, many of them covered in ivy, with larger buildings at the end of the lines. His understanding was that the larger buildings were the dormitories and he had to admit that he was glad he wasn’t going to be staying in one of those – they looked far too cramped for him to make it through his time at a new school without murdering someone.
A fair number of students were out wandering around, or playing games of some sort, and Tim was forcibly reminded again of Hogwarts. It seemed that somethings truly never changed. His attention had been distracted by a couple of girls in shorts and crop tops that seemed to be enjoying the late spring sun when he almost bumped into a girl heading the other direction.
“Sorry about that,” he offered with a sheepish smile, “I suppose I should pay more attention to where I’m going.”Xolani Oloo

When he first woke up, Tim wasn’t sure where he was and his mind flashed back to the skirmish outside of Hogsmeade. He jerked awake and sat up in bed, before it occurred to him that he was in a bed and clearly not on the battlefield anymore. His back ached and he stretched just as the blinding pain lanced through his knee again and he remembered the wound that had actually brought him down.
A frown creased his face as he tossed the covers back to take a look at his knee. The arrow clearly had been removed, but the open wound was still there – protected by some sort of potion or ointment. His stomach rolled as he noticed that he could still see some white shards of bone in the wound and he leaned over to throw up in a carefully placed bucket just beside his bed.
Sweat beaded on his forehead as he fought to ignore the pain and he slumped back onto the pillows of the bed. When he’d joined Maz in rushing to join the fray, it hadn’t really occurred to him that he might be hurt. After all, he’d made it through the battle at the Alley unscathed – other than a severe case of magical exhaustion, and that had been against other wizards.
Being felled by beasts like the Centaurs actually stung more then that wound. Well… that wasn’t true, but it pricked his pride a lot. His eyes scanned over toward the windows and he could see the starlit sky outside – it made him wonder how long he’d been asleep and just how he’d managed to fall asleep with the pain he was feeling at the moment. He couldn’t remember taking a potion or anything like that.Maz Cowan

“Look,” Tim replied, as calmly as he could, in the face of the livid girl, “I told you at the beginning that this was just for fun and we weren’t going anywhere. You agreed.”
Melissa glared at him and opened her mouth to spit something else at him. Given the way the conversation had been going to that point, it was going to be mean and vile – and oh so boring. There just wasn’t anymore patience left in him for the anger and he held up his hand, “I’d say we’re done here.”
Her mouth dropped open in surprise and Tim smiled as Lottie appeared at the bottom of the steps, making her way toward the exit from the Common Room. Leaving the stunned sixth year behind, he fell into step beside his friend and asked, “Where are you headed?”
“Mind if I come with? I think she might just kill me if I’m still here when she comes to her senses…”
There was just a slight bit of awkwardness that Tim did his best to ignore. He and Lottie hadn’t had any real conversations since Amber had left – just sharing a few pleasantries and mindless chatter in the Common Room in passing. It was something that he’d been meaning to rectify anyway. This seemed like as good a moment as any. Lottie Cane
