For the first time that he’d started attending Hogwarts, Aiden truly wasn’t sure that he felt safe within the halls. There was a small voice in the back of his head that was pointing out that the unsettled feeling that he was experiencing probably had more to do with his lack of memory of what had landed him in this situation than anything else and he did his best to cling to that thought. He loved Hogwarts, and he hated to think that he wasn’t going to be comfortable there anymore. There hadn’t been any word yet of what sorts of punishments were going to be doled out but if he’d been in another fight with Pavon Sannasely, he really wished he’d have remembered it.
The nurse had been pretty horrified with his injuries – which apparently included a minor crack in the back of his skull and a reasonably serious concussion. Apparently it was entirely possible that he’d never remember what had happened and it had been impressed on him very strongly that if he started experiencing recurring headaches or dizziness, he needed to come straight back to the hospital wing for further diagnoses.
After that, it seemed there wasn’t going to be much they could do for him. Still, they wanted to keep him for a couple days just to check and make sure there weren’t worse issues that had been missed in the scans and so he’d been spending the day just lying on the hospital bed and staring out the window. It was remarkably boring and he’d have killed to be able to be up and about again.Maz Cowan

Aiden was enjoying the new year a lot more than he’d expected to. It was his OWL year, and his Professors were really getting into the school work and assignment thing. He supposed it made sense since they were paid to make sure that their kids got through the exams but it was still deeply annoying. Begrudgingly, he’d made sure to get caught up on his assignments before making a break for it. He skidded to a halt and swallowed his curse of dismay as he saw the rain pouring down outside.
That shot his idea of going outside and running around for a while. A soft voice in the back of his mind said that was probably a sign that he should do some more studying; instead, he turned the other way and decided to just wander the halls a bit. He’d spent a lot of time exploring the upper levels, looking for hidden rooms and passages, but he hadn’t spent much time in the dungeons.
The Slytherins weren’t super welcoming to visitors that wore red and gold, but there wasn’t a lot they could do about a Prefect who was wandering around. With a spring in his step, he took the stairs down into the lower levels to see what he could find.Pavon B Sannesley

There were very few things that Aiden hated more than being held after class. This time it hadn’t even been his fault – the girl sitting in front of him had legitimately dropped her quill and he’d been trying to pick it up for her. It wasn’t his fault that she’d bent over to get it at the same time and he’d ended up accidentally stabbing her. Finally though, the Professor had either come to believe that he hadn’t done it on purpose or had at least run out of things to scold him about and Aiden found himself released.
As quickly as he could he threw his belongings into his bag and rushed out into the hallway. He didn’t expect Caryn to wait for him since they had no way of knowing how long he’d be held – so that just meant he was going to have to run and hope to catch her in the Common Room before she came up with something fun to do without his input.
After settling his bag firmly over both shoulders, Aiden took off at a sprint down the hallway toward the steps that would lead him up to Gryffindor Tower.

It had been raining at her house where they’d been hanging out so they were running around inside. In their enthusiasm they’d managed to knock over some knickknack which had promptly shattered all over the floor.
After a moment of shocked stillness he’d called out, “I think we should go check out Diagon Alley!”
Her house was connected to the floo and they weren’t actually forbidden to go, so he figured that a flight from the consequences of the mess was going to be the way to go. Without giving her too much of a chance to reply he’d bolted for their fireplace and – grabbing a pinch of powder – disappeared into the flames.
The Leaky Cauldron was surprisingly busy when Aiden tumbled out of it laughing. He did his best to scramble out of the way before he stood and brushed himself off as he waited for Caryn to join him.
