It made him feel remarkably unsocial, but after a late night talking with Maz and then a further inability to sleep; Tim had remained in bed long after Amber had gotten up to deal with her friends and see them off. With his door shut, he’d contented himself with pulling a book from his shelf and just sacking out and reading. It had been a long time since he’d taken the time to just relax and read a book. At one time, it had been among his favorite things to do – but he’d moved away from that long ago.
Logically, he knew he was sulking but there wasn’t anything else he was really feeling up to doing at the moment. According to the elves, Richard hadn’t come back the night before – late or otherwise – and had sent his apologies along for the girls. Tim was curious to know what was happening at the Ministry but at the same time he dreaded finding out. The elves had also delivered the Prophet, though it sat ignored on his end table.
Reading it would have put his curiosity to rest. However, he wasn’t looking forward to reading it and finding out that things were worse than they’d appeared the night before. With a frustrated huff – mainly at himself for the childish behavior he was all too aware of – Tim settled back into the pillows and opened the book.
Certain that Amber would come looking for him once the others were seen on their way.Amber Elison

For once during the year, the week had gone by blisteringly fast. Aside from all of their normal work, he and Amber had spent a lot of time going back over the old assignments and notes to make sure they were ready for whatever Hart threw at them. It had reached a point that he was pretty sure they weren’t going to be learning anything new during their lessons – and since they weren’t going to uncover anything new, he didn’t really see the point in them wasting any more time on it.
As he waited for Amber to join him in their study spot he took a seat on the table, with his feet up on the bench, and chatted with one of the other Slytherin girls who was working on one of the Charms assignments and had seemed to be struggling with it.
A bright smile spread across his face as Amber appeared in the room and he greeted her as she approached, “Hello!”Amber Elison

Ever since her attack, Tim had been practically seething. To the best of his knowledge, whoever had done this to his friend hadn’t been found and he was less than convinced that Norwood would do anything about it even if the person came forward and admitted what they’d done in the middle of the Great Hall. To make matters worse, the Headmaster and the Nurse weren’t allowing people in to visit her until they could ‘confirm that she was going to be just fine.’
Granted, they probably could have snuck in after curfew and gotten away with it. Maybe; if nothing else he was pretty sure that the Nurse wouldn’t have turned them in for checking on their friend. The only problem was that if they were spotted by someone else, or if the Headmaster found out about it, they were likely to be in rather a lot of trouble and that was something they were both fighting very hard to avoid.
During breakfast the Headmaster announced that she was recovering nicely and would be just fine before continuing on about how they were going to make it a point to find whoever had done this, and blah, blah blah. Tim didn’t stick around to hear whatever else the man was saying – if she was going to fine then they were going to get in to see her. He took Amber’s hand and quietly led her out of the room before hurrying down the hall to the Hospital Wing.
As he’d hoped the doors were open and he smiled when he spotted Maz. He squeezed Amber’s hand and then led the way over to where their friend was laid out before greeting their friend, “Hey there, I don’t know what they’re talking about – you look just as bad as you usually do.”Amber ElisonMaz Cowan

Honestly, Tim had expected a lot more spare-time during his sixth year. It seemed that the professors had made it their mission in life to prove to him that he was an idiot. They’d been dumping work on the students like it was going out of style. Keeping up with the current course load and trying to catch up on what he’d missed with Muggle Studies had been more than enough and had begun driving Tim more than a little bit crazy.
It was getting late in the evening and he was dragging himself back from the library and not looking forward to spending the rest of the evening studying in the common room. When the door swung open and he slipped in he started toward his chair by the fireplace preparing himself to take advantage of the relatively unpopulated room.
Tim dropped his bag on the ground as he rounded the chair and came to a stop as he found Amber sitting there already. It never failed to amuse him that he couldn’t see her over the back of their seat and with a grin he greeted, “Ok – twist my arm. I can do studying later, I think spending time with you is a much better plan.”

There were no words to describe just how pleased Tim was that the year was finally over. Even not attending the muggle studies course, the stress of knowing that it was there and that they were going to have to do something about it during the next year. For the moment though he had absolutely no desire to even think about it. He just wanted to relax with Amber and unwind a little bit.
The elves appeared just long enough to disappear with their trunks to get everything put away in their rooms and he led Amber off toward the den only to drop onto the couch and stretch out. With a wry grin he said, “Well, that was an interesting year.”
“What do you think they’re going to throw at us next year?”
