I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter in the least, and I really don't think anyone cares anyway. But since I'm gone, I guess I should write my characters out.
Alannah – Just disappears one day. It’s assumed she moved on.
Amber – Took NEWTS early and left after breaking up with Tim. She’s left no clues as to where she’s going.
Cassie – Dad’s job moved to US, so transferred to MACUSA University.
Caryn – Got expelled after the Truth or Dare party.
Emily – Left school due to bullying.
Jacinth – Killed in the line of duty.
Kerrigan – Moved to a different country with her mom.
Kyna – Committed suicide after being tortured by sights of past events and the unseen ghosts.
Lilli – Messed up some runes (or something) and is in St. Mungo’s permanently in a coma.
Portia – Was set up on a job, caught, and sent to muggle prison.
Sasha – Taken out of school by parents who didn’t like her loner personality change.
Abby and Blylthe were given to their original owners. Cecily was given away.

Since it had been a weekend, Amber had convinced Tim to spend most of their down time in the Room of Requirement. She’d felt that it had been way too long since they’d had time to spend just with each other. Even their time at the Caer over the holidays hadn’t been very relaxing, what with the major ball that had happened. Aber honestly couldn’t even remember half of the ball. She’d been daydreaming through most of it and only pretending to pay attention to whatever was around her.
This weekend was different though. She loved the Room of Requirement. She loved how it had everything she could want when she wanted it. That advantage had definitely made the previous night much more fun and memorable.
She’d awakened with a smile on her face, a rarity. She hadn’t really wanted to move yet, so she’d snuggled in, her smile growing when Tim held her tighter even in his sleep.
She thought about the day ahead, trying to remember if there was anything they absolutely had to do. Coming up empty, she hugged her boyfriend-turned-teddy bear. They were free. They could order meals to the Room if they wanted. And right now, that’s what she wanted.
Quietly, she called for an elf to bring breakfast before she turned to waking Tim up. She heard the pop and smelled the bacon even as she started lightly tickling his sides. She hoped that would do it and he’d wake up in a mood as playful as her own currently was.Timothy Morrigan

Okay, so for those who might not know, MEPS is basically the physical(s) that must be done before you can sign the contract for the military. (He wants to join the Navy and become either a CryptoTech or Nuke tech, or whatever they call it.)
He went last Thursday and returned on Friday. He went with a group of five other boys. One boy was swearing in (as in, leaving for boot camp) and the others were, like AJ, going for physicals.
AJ was the only one of that group that didn't sign.
That's right. He failed the MEPS requirements.
He's not completely out of the possibility of joining. He failed the audio test, but they'll do an 'ear wash' and let him try again. He also apparently has scoliosis. He will need to have x-rays to see how bad or not-bad it is. If it's less than 20-30 degrees, he'll be fine. If it's more, we're not sure. But, tbh, I'm not too worried. It hasn't ever affected him before, so I don't really expect it to now. As long as he can meet all the requirements, he should be able to get a waiver.
We are just waiting to see when he'll be able to go back.
On the good side, he scored really high on the ASVAB (the entrance exam), so they really want him. He scored so high that he actually qualified to do ANY job. So, we're hoping.
Cross your fingers for him, please!
(As mom, I don't want him to go. But also as mom, I want him to do what HE wants...and he wants this.)
