The Lynch family was a devout catholic family, who was far less than pleased when their son was found to be a wizard. They did their best to suppress the magic within him, to the point that what they were doing became known to the Ministry and young Sean was removed from their care. His years at Hogwarts were average as he learned to use his magic and make friends while trying to develop a normal life after his upbringing. By the time he’d graduated, he’d already decided that it wasn’t going to happen. He was looked down upon or looked up to for his blood status in a world that he didn’t understand and nobody felt it necessary to explain it. Still, it was better than the muggle world he’d left and so he kept his distaste for it all to himself.
Then came the summer after graduation and the attack that changed his life. On a camping trip with his few friends from the school, they were assaulted by a werewolf and Sean was the only survivor, if you could call it that. The wolf that turned him came back to his senses the next morning and was amused at what he’d done – taking the new lycanthrope under his wing.
Sean was a quick study, embracing the bloodlust and the rage of the werewolf. Once he felt he’d learned all he could, he destroyed his maker and then returned to Ireland to visit his ire on his family. A pair of Aurors tracked him down and in a fight that he still doesn’t really remember, he managed to slay them both. With the Ministry looking for him, he went into hiding, leaving the country for a while and seeking out more people that could teach him what it meant to be a wolf.
Eventually, once things had cooled down a bit, he returned to his home country, living mostly among the muggles and quickly found that as long as he kept his head down he only drew a token group of Aurors to look for him. It was still frustrating though, and he slowly set out looking for allies, as there was safety in numbers.
